Supervision of Children
- The supervision of the children, during and after the party, is the responsibility of the adults hosting the party.
Booking the Party
- Schedule your party by contacting Celeste Wolfinger, museum visit coordinator, either by telephone 812-337-1337 ext. 11 or by email.
- The earlier you make your reservation, the more likely it is that you will be able to schedule your preferred date and time.
- The date of party must be at least two weeks from the date of the reservation.
- The fire code limits birthday party room capacity to 20 individuals for a single-size party or 40 individuals for a double-size party. For an after hours rental of the entire museum, capacity is 300.
Deposit/Payment
- A non-refundable deposit is due at the time you make the reservation. This deposit will ensure your birthday party room is reserved for your requested day and time. The deposit is not refundable, cannot be transferred and cannot be applied to a party that is rescheduled for another date.
- The rest of your payment is due the day of your party, after all the fun!
- We accept cash, check, and the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
If You Must Reschedule or Cancel
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Please call Celeste Wolfinger, museum visitor coordinator, at 812-337-1337 ext. 11 if you need to reschedule or cancel your party. Full payment will be charged in the event of a “no call, no show” on the day of the party.
- Cancellation of or changes to a birthday cake order must be made at least seven days before the party date. The full cake price is non-refundable if you cancel or make changes fewer than seven days before the party or if you do not show up on the day of the party.
Eco-Friendly Aspects of a WonderLab Party
- WonderLab uses cloth table runners that are washed and reused.
- WonderLab recycles all paper, cardboard, plastics, and aluminum.
- WonderLab focuses on reusing recyclable materials for our special science activities.
- The birthday cakes and t-shirts are ordered from and support local businesses.
- WonderLab composts party tableware and food leftovers! Here’s how…After the compostable tableware is used, these materials along with leftover food is collected in special biodegradable bags to be taken for composting to Loesch Hill Farm, which is owned by One World Enterprises. The resulting nutrient rich compost will be used on the farm’s gardens, which produce fresh local food for One World restaurants and the food pantry Mother Hubbard's Cupboard.
