The WonderPage is WonderLab’s weekly science feature. It is published in the following newspapers during the school year. The Herald-Times and the Times-Mail have Newspapers in Education (NIE) Programs. Teachers in their circulation areas should contact these two companies about receiving free newspapers for their classrooms through the NIE Program.

The Herald Times ( Bloomington ), Tuesdays

Reporter-Times( Martinsville ), Tuesdays

The Salem Leader (Salem), Tuesdays, effective February 5, 2008

Spencer Evening World (Spencer), Tuesdays

Brown County Democrat ( Nashville ), Wednesdays

Times-Mail ( Bedford ), Wednesdays

The WonderPage provides informal learning opportunities in science, math, and language arts for the community, with a particular focus on supporting local schools. Its target audience is elementary-school children, particularly those in grades three through six, but we understand that the WonderPage is enjoyed by a much wider audience. It includes a feature article, two puzzle activities, a question-and-answer section, a hands-on activity related to the article topic, and a WonderLab program highlght. Teachers and parents can use the WonderPage for hands-on science learning, partner reading and discussion, vocabulary exercises, reading comprehension activities, and as a supplement to educational materials.
