ladybug imageHow do you get started with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education at the preschool level? This highly interactive workshop, offered by WonderLab in collaboration with the Indiana University School of Education P-16 Center, will focus on teaching children about their natural world. The workshop will cover best practices for teaching STEM concepts to young children, hands-on activities related to nature and the environment, and include materials to launch these activities in the classroom. Participants will learn key concepts of inquiry-based teaching methods that encourage children to engage in the critical processes of observing, classifying, measuring, comparing, and communicating. There will be time for participant discussion of ideas and doing hands-on activities.

Additional Benefits:

• Resource materials for activities in your classroom
• Other classroom materials provided through WTIU's Ready to Learn program
