2011 Annual Appeal and Holiday Wish List
In an article about WonderLab, Bloom Magazine described a two-year-old girl growing up in Bloomington who watched Disney’s Alice in WonderLand and exclaimed, “Mommy! Alice is in WonderLab!” The article goes on to describe WonderLab as a magical and fun place with passionate museum staffers who love to see kids get excited about science and indeed about learning itself. Each of you has a similar story to tell. You’ve seen the very young child enthralled by the Discovery Garden Water Works, the teen volunteer who is learning responsible workplace skills, and the grandparent simply enjoying a shared experience witha cherished grandchild. This is WonderLab.
This also is WonderLab: acclaimed teacher training workshops, summer science day camps, a popular outreach program, a partner in MCCSC’s after-school program, an award-winning volunteer team of nearly 1,000 spanning ages 13 through 88 and so much more.
WonderLab is poised to serve a record-breaking 84,000 visitors this year. With the rising demand for WonderLab's services also comes with a corresponding increase in expenses. Please consider making an investment today. Thank you!
