WonderLab Hosting Harry Potter and Star Wars Themed Events
On two consecutive weekends, WonderLab will be hosting evening events to celebrate two upcoming film releases: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Visitors are encouraged to wear costumes for both events!
Family Science Night: Fantastic Beasts is Saturday, November 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. This family friendly event will appeal to Harry Potter fans and children of all ages, as the museum will literally “come alive” with an amazing collection of creatures that include miniature pigs, a miniature horse, Russian tortoise, green basilisk, vinegaroon, kinkajou, dwarf hamsters, chinchilla, barn owl, Flemish giant rabbit, and a variety of snakes. In addition, visitors will encounter a roving magician, contact juggler, various Harry Potter characters, and opportunities for hands-on wizardry.
WonderLab After Dark: Jedi Science is Friday, November 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. The quarterly 21 and over event allows adults of all ages to explore the museum, mingle with other guests, enjoy food and adult beverages, and engage in fun science activities. In addition, visitors will get to meet and take photos with some of their favorite Star Wars characters, build light sabers and construct rockets.
